School Trip Time, 1st Period (修学旅行の時間・1時間目 Shūgakuryokō no Jikan, 1 Jikan-me) is the seventh episode of the Assassination Classroom anime series. The episode aired on February 27, 2015.
Overview[]
It's finally time for the long-awaited school trip to Kyoto. Class 3-E has planned an assassination for this trip. But, amid preparation and inspections, Kaede Kayano and Yukiko Kanzaki are kidnapped by high school students from another school. Will they be able to save them!?
Summary[]
Class 3-E prepares for a field trip to Kyoto, which is also being used as a venue to assassinate Korosensei. The students are arranged into groups, in which Nagisa Shiota, Kaede Kayano, Karma Akabane, Tomohito Sugino, Manami Okuda and class idol Yukiko Kanzaki agree to be in a group. On the train ride to Kyoto, high school male delinquents steal Yukiko's itinerary, noting the group activities.
The next day, the group visits all the assassination landmarks, but they are ambushed by the male delinquents, who kidnap Kaede and Yukiko. While in captivity, Yukiko laments to Kaede about her rebellious acts due to being raised in a strict family. Nagisa, Karma, Sugino and Manami use an extensive guidebook written by Korosensei, which provides a thorough procedure for hostage situations, to deduce where Kaede and Yukiko are being held. Korosensei arrives to deal with the delinquents while Nagisa and the others knock them out with their guidebooks.
Following the incident, Yukiko is encouraged by Korosensei's words of wisdom, in which those with the will to drive forward will come out strong regardless of situation or status.

Episode Notes[]
- Instead of the usual Class 3-E Song Unit members singing the opening, Ryōta Ōsaka (Yuma Isogai) and Shintarō Asanuma (Hiroto Maehara) are replaced with Yoshitaka Yamaya (Tomohito Sugino), Satomi Satō (Yukiko Kanzaki) and Sayuri Yahagi (Manami Okuda) for the episode.
- The episode's singers also reflect Nagisa Shiota's group for the Kyoto trip.
Differences between the Manga[]
- In the anime, Korosensei dressed up as a maiko (apprentice geisha) to note his excitement, whereas, in the manga, he had his massive luggage to show. This is a call forward to one of the later manga chapters, which showed Korosensei dressed as a Maiko on the front color page.
- In the manga, while boarding the train, only Nagisa Shiota's old classmates comment on Class 3-E riding the regular cars, whereas, in the anime, their teacher is included in that scene.
- When Class E arrives at their hotel, in the manga, it's only Hinata Okano who tries to stab Korosensei, whereas, in the anime, it's her, along with Yuma Isogai and Meg Kataoka.
- In the anime, Karma Akabane knocks one of the high school delinquents to the ground and then fends off another one who had a knife before being knocked unconscious and beaten, whereas, in the manga, he knocks one of them into a pole before being knocked unconscious.
- Also, the scene that shows Kaede Kayano and Yukiko Kanzaki in the car with the thugs is removed in the anime.
