Futoshi (フトシ, Futoshi) is a member of a quartet of assassins who are after Korosensei for the bounty and they are regular customers at Pub Azusa.

Plot

Time for the Grim Reaper

Futoshi made his first appearance as a candidate assassin to be hired by the government to kill Korosensei. Disgusted by his behavior, Tadaomi Karasuma dismisses him from the position.

Etymology

• The name Futoshi is written in katakana (フトシ), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (太, 大, 太志, 太士, 太四 or 大志), it could possibly mean:
  • 太 - "thick, big, great".
  • 大 - "big, great".
  • 太志 - "thick, big, great" (太) (futo) and "will, purpose" (志) (shi).
