Hinano Kurahashi, (倉橋 陽菜乃 Kurahashi Hinano) is a student in Korosensei's Class 3-E in Kunugigaoka Junior High School.

Kurahashi has short, wavy orange hair and olive-brown eyes (peridot green in the anime). She has a more petite frame than most of the girls in Class 3-E.

Kurahashi's personality is best described as "yurufuwa" (a person who is warm, gentle, and relaxing). She is an energetic and positive girl and is always seen with a smile on her face regardless of whether she's trying to assassinate Korosensei, or whatever else. She's an animal and nature lover as shown in Time for the Living. She was also noted to be a "reliable assistant" for the group of boys who are on the path to becoming "sleazebags." This stems from the fact that she has older siblings who are all boys and as a result can handle even the sleaziest talk. She is a very soothing and calming person and is described as being innocent and genuine. She is also good at making money, particularly being able to assess the price of the stag beetles she was hoping to capture and sell and at the end of the manga managing to get parents to pay her handsomely to take their kids on nature hikes.

Kurahashi does not receive any notable focus until summer vacation. She displays her proficiency in biology as she held knowledge of what types of beetles would be in more demand and which ones wouldn't.

Seven years after the graduation and assassination of Korosensei, Kurahashi makes an income by conducting nature adventures for kids using the Class E mountain.

Knifework: She is 3rd best-ranked student in knifework along with Rinka Hayami and Toka Yada on the girls' side.

Biology: Kurahashi has extensive knowledge in Biology as noted by Nagisa and has even been shown to be able to interact with dolphins during the Summer Vacation arc.

Along with Yada, she's one of Irina's favorite students. They are the only students who know about Irina's past and true personality. During the Valentine's day arc, she declares a war of affection against Irina that she will steal Karasuma from her, much to Irina's confusion.

Toka Yada

Yada and Kurahashi are close friends and as a result, are frequently seen together. A notable example was during an effort to infiltrate Japan's space station, they distracted the guards by pretending they were lost.

Taiga Okajima

Kurahashi and Okajima share a prominent introduction in Chapter 56 and were paired together during Korosensei's "Assassination Test of Courage".

Tadaomi Karasuma

Kurahashi is the student who attempts to interact with Karasuma the most, as she has a crush on him.

Rio Nakamura

Though they aren’t often seen together, the two of them have bonded over bejeweling their knife sheaths. The two of them also seem to have their airheaded moments together, as they casually were showing them off during a school assembly, much to Karasuma’s dismay.

  • To (Maehara Hiroto) "Girls are the one that are expensive these days."

  • Her best subject is Biology, and her worst is Mathematics.
  • Her future goal is to become a zoologist.
  • Her hobbies are raising pets and collecting insects.
  • Her favorite kind of guy is "the one who can catch any kind of wild beast." The character book clarifies that she meant Karasuma, and that all of the students of the class are aware of her feelings for him.
  • She was called "Fluffy Stag Beetle", (ゆるふわ クワガタ Yurufuwa Kuwagata) in chapter 91 while class 3-E training in using code names. The one who wrote her codename was Maehara.
    • The most likely reason Maehara gave her such a codename stems from an earlier experience where she came across an albino stag beetle.
  • In the "Girls you're interested in" ranking made by the boys in Chapter 19, she was ranked 3rd, with her appearance listed as her best point. In the anime, the comment next to her vote tally said "Calming; strikes charming poses".
  • In the art rankings of Volume 5, she was placed 1st among the female students. Korosensei comments she has an acute color sense, along with great skill for making handicrafts.
  • In the popularity poll of Volume 12, she was the highest-ranked female student, at 8th place.
  • Her past club before joining Class E was the Biology club.
  • Her favorite food is a Blueberry Yogurt Parfait.
  • Her most treasured possession is a complete collection of biology books.
  • During the Civil War, she was eliminated by Okano in a one on one duel.
  • Her ability to ignore sleazy gossip is very high.
  • In the tankobon extra, her statistics were listed as:
    • Physical strength: 2
    • Mobility: 3
    • Close-range assassination: 3.5
    • Long-range assassination: 2
    • Academic ability: 3
    • Characteristic skill: 4.5 (Lifeform knowledge)
